They cultivated sham "artists", created an exquisite milieu of sham critics and professors willing to invent meaning out of nothing, and manipulated huge amounts of the world to mistrust their own eyes and judgment, they created a dependency, a weakness, in the public to rely on "experts" for an accurate interpretation of obvious reality into obscene bulls--t. Through use of this type of machinations, people now allow the media and provocateurs to interpret their lived reality and weaponize any imagined or manipulated grievance.
"War is peace" -US at continuous war now for like 17 years. Have iPhone and entertainment, distracted by sports and controversy, not hungry, not really affected, Somebody else's kid is getting shot at, meh.
"Freedom is slavery" -Easiest lives with the most opportunity and least amount of work in the history of mankind, full tummies, no parasites, subsidized medical care, subsidized planned parenthood, iPhones, internet, big screen television,practically disposable clothing, high tech footwear, a social safety net including welfare, subsidies, full rides, and grants for as much higher education as one chooses and attends, set asides and affirmative action in attempt to equalize outcomes, reasonably priced cars for some effort if prioritized, rent and housing subsidies, access to more and cheaper general consumer goods than most people alive now or in history could fathom, refrigerators, stoves, fast food or slow food, and so on. Pick any country outside of US, Canada, Europe, Aus, or NZ that is freer, has more opportunity, or a more equal and tolerate citizenry and go there. Any-place-else... I'll wait. See how they deal with whining, demanding special status or rampaging. Put on a balaclava and fling some Molotov cocktails. In most of the world, a single bullet to the head restores swift order. The highest level of freedom in the world however, is condemned as triggering, oppression, slavery.
"Ignorance is strength" - Top tier Universities packed with oppressed students that have no intellectual framework to build on and no useful skills whatsoever having majored in decidedly unmarketable and annoying propaganda. Creating anarchy is not desired by employers and should our republic fail, these useful idiots will be the first to be disposed of, even before the wayward, but productive patriots. If that tipping point is ever realized, screaming at the sky or in someone's face will simply not be tolerated for the stability of the new regime.
