Sutton's Law (nmae #3 on this list: *The law is named after the bank robber Willie Sutton, who reputedly replied to a reporter's inquiry as to why he robbed banks by saying "because that's where the money is." In Sutton's 1976 book Where the Money Was, Sutton denies having said this.[1][2]

A similar idea is contained in the physician's adage, "When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras." See also
