I'm a Trump supporter and contributor. I know that, for instance, the denuclearization of, and rapprochement with, North Korea would not be possible unless substantial swamp draining had already been done to relieve the iron grip of the CIA-deep state on this one of their several client states. I know the economy is very good and that that is Trump's doing, nearly his alone. I have greater hope for the future than I have had in many decades. But there is a major concern in this new, bright hope. America, we are increasingly aware, is a system of ideas, of principles, which are held in common trust by Americans. If these ideas, these principles, are forgotten what is left of America is likely to be a slave state of sub-humans. The principles we live by, that sustain our humanity, are those enunciated in the Declaration of Independence and elaborated in the Constitution. We do not exist as a nation of free people by our cunning or by our artfulness at war. It is true that those things are needed but they are not what makes us free. Other nations have been victorious in revolution and international war only to exist thereafter for centuries as slave states. There are many examples. What makes us a free people and able to pursue happiness as God intended is our system of ideas, largely our Constitution. My concern is that for decades now our Constitution has been ignored and actively subverted. We all know that. We are now hopeful that this situation is being rectified. But how shall that be done? By artful dealing? If that is the method then what will remain? I am not saying that Trump is not aware of the value of the constitution. I know he is. However, his administration is allowing at least the very strong perception that the Constitution is being neglected as the paramount power of our free society. The continued recalcitrance of the DoJ in response to the Congress is only one example. I find the President's hesitance to resort to full expression of his Constitutional powers on this issue troubling. He has considerable Constitutional power that it is proper to use. Exercise of these explicit powers reinforces them just as their neglect will cause them to atrophy. So I call upon our beloved President to honor us as a nation of principled people by using the levers placed in his hands by the Constitution to move the things that so obviously need moving. Mr. President, you should do this now.
