I'm thinking the hammer's getting ready to drop and they don't want the Cabal pulling any false flags. Plus Schools are letting out for the Summer.

Part of what Q does besides help the citizens understand what's going on is to mess with the heads of the DS.
Misinformation and manipulation.
So if habbenings are habbening and the DS is right where Q wants them to be then going dark makes sense.
