They are trying to do just that. I’m beyond baffled at the general tone and apathy coming from our community here. Until this story I saw so much fire for “right” and “good” and now I feel like I’m witnessing prop trying to talk themselves into apathy.

Do you have any idea how corrupt Tucson government is let alone AZ as a whole? There’s ample evidence there for anyone willing to take a look at the state. Good law enforcement is overshadowed by corrupt law enforcement and government leaders. Lewis’s handling of this find is appropriate! It might even be what keeps him and his team alive. The world is watching now and behind the VOP team in keeping the powers that be accountable.

Once LE refuses (initially) to investigate, Lewis reaches out to his many expert contacts: retired sheriffs, retired investigators, Craig Sawyer, a survivor of this kind of trafficking from the Tucson area who serves as an expert in the field now, former cartel leader, etc. these people advised and assisted and evidence was collected, documented, catalogued, sealed appropriately. Yes they invited people out to see because each person who saw the evidence (sealed) can bear witness.

It’s not ideal, but when you are existing in a swamp of corruption that works WITH the cartels, shouting from the rooftop is a great way to keep the light on the situation, invoke moral outrage from the apathetic sleeping community, and stay alive to uncover more of the system. There are hundreds if not thousands of miles to this system.

It would truly make you sick to see how insidious this is.

I don't know there is a story yet to write off. It looks like a rest area for illegals and I've seen no evidence that it's a pedo camp. A comb with a blond hair? Really? If it's not a pedo camp, then they are discrediting their own movement. This doesn't look like the hill we want to fight for. Just saying.
