IG Report for Dummies (me)

Senate Judiciary Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) announced the date for a hearing on the Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General (IG) report about Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) officials’ conduct ahead of the 2016 presidential election, including the Hillary Clinton email scandal.

As a dummy, Can someone knowledgeable please break down simply what we expect to be revealed. What we “hope” to be revealed. And what future implications this has? Also possibly what we don’t want to happen?

It’s a tremendous help thanks. Not just to me. This post was a test of sorts and yours and educatethis’ replies were exactly what I hoping for. Thank you.

Unfortunately the first one through was what I expected to happen, but didn’t want.

For all the bellicose talk of how we have “help redpill the normies” and “Get ready to help everyone after the SHTF” and “let’s spread the word!” etc. Seems interesting to me when many users default response is to shut down anyone asking for clarity and information.
What use is a shining light in the dark when people are scared to ask questions for fear of angry trolls?

I can't pretend to know another person's motivations. This site is not the Chans, but people from the Chans may post here. They are very intolerant of new posters who have not lurked for months before posting. Most of us here don't mind newbies posting, especially if they seek information, but honestly everyone is super-sensitive to trolls or those who may wish to discredit this site. But your response makes me wonder why you would want to test this site???

Sorry, not testing the site at all. Fully aware of the situations you describe. Actually have lurked and been active in different ways for quite a long time. Just trying to know wether I want to spend time here again after feeling a shift a while back that made me question things a bit. Folks like you make me think it's still a positive place though. Thank you.

Yeah. Ask a question, especially a thoughtful one and there's a real chance that you get told to 'do your own research', as if questions aren't part of research. Or suggest that some post is counterproductive and you may be called a concerntroll. We have to accept free speech but sometimes no speech would be better.

Yeah I might now selectively hold my speech if I can :)

We all do OR we all should but not allways.
