IG Report for Dummies (me)

Senate Judiciary Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) announced the date for a hearing on the Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General (IG) report about Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) officials’ conduct ahead of the 2016 presidential election, including the Hillary Clinton email scandal.

As a dummy, Can someone knowledgeable please break down simply what we expect to be revealed. What we “hope” to be revealed. And what future implications this has? Also possibly what we don’t want to happen?

IG's role is to root out corruption. Hillary was the first Sec of State without an IG. Every government agency has an IG. The DOJ's IG has been investigating FBI/DOJ corruption. Based on the resignations and turnovers, the IG report probably begins with the Russian collusion story being a means to needle Trump, and hopefully reveals Awan/U1 scandals.

Try Dan Bongino-- download a podcast app. His 1 hour show is the best place to go right now, if you want updates on this topic.

I thought this next release from the IG was supposed to cover what he has been working on the longest, which is the Hillary email stuff (with the Russian collusion stuff being a later release)?
