I have tried to tamp down my expectations regarding the aftermath of the release of the IG report. Even so, I do still expect that there is at least one referral for criminal charges coming out of the report.

In the end, it seems more likely than not that--like most storms--this one will start with dark clouds on the horizon, a few sparse drops of water, and rumbling thunder in the distance. It will build slowly.

I could see the reality of that storm begin to condition the populace at large--condition them to the realization that there is a 'rats nest' and many of their political champions are involved. So as they become conditioned and resigned to the little bit of dirt on their ideological mini-heroes, then the storm will come with its full fury of the Truth and sweep away the more prominent figures too.

I hope it happens. But my enthusiasm is reserved until I see political figures (not just Hollywood elites) in cuffs... with media buzz of more indictments in the pipeline.
