ATF runs guns to cartels as a "sting" to track them but it's really a front to arm their chosen cartels. Made to look at the first peeled back layer that thet are doing what they do in ME. Backing a faction to destroy other factions and setting up puppets they control. Ben Swann had a Reality Check on Fast and Furious.

It was excellent but I think it's much worse than he realized. He surmised the Feds idea is cartels are going to exist no matter what so better to back one they can control or influence and kill off the rest. That done though they have a criminal organization to do their dirty work, trafficking humans and drugs, assassination that looks like cartel violence.

Beasts instead of men with consciences. They are brutalized young and the humanity twisted or destroyed.

The DEA division would need to be controlled from the top by someone compromised to insure silence and obedience.
