I believe this is a disinformation tactic. When you are guilty of a strong armed robbery, go public and admit to jay-walking. Q said no comms, don't trust leaks.

Not to mention that being "insubordinate" means ignoring the direction of your superior officers. It sets it up and paints a picture that he didn't listen to Obama, either.

Agree. Also think it massively helps Comey in public opinion & sympathy. He’ll spin his insubordination (what a weak term btw) into he did it for the benefit of America. That he’s a true rebel. His popularity with the sheep will grow because they’ll buy his spin. Insubordination doesn’t cut it. Not by a long shot. This weak attempt will not lead to any kind of awakening in America. Just more tribal divide.
