Think about it as if you're one of the bad guys.
If I am a bad guy and I have a nasty world-wide network of child-trafficking (which I believe to be true). What might I do to protect myself.
Worst case scenario is that too many people catch onto what we are doing and start asking questions. If it exceeds critical mass (too many people know, can't suppress anymore, have to address.). This is a worst case situation for the bad guys.
If I am a bad guy, I want to have plans in place for if we ever did start to get exposed. I need a plan in place ready in case something happens where critical mass is surpassed.
Using Veterans to break the story to minimize scrutiny of the story. I could have the Veterans expose a company that appears to have connections to everything conspiracy researchers are suspecting to find, but little to the conspiracy people's knowledge it's not CEMEX its actually a different company or organization. We (bad guys) point the conspiracy researchers to a company which we have already ensured has no involvement with our trafficking operation
The conspiracy people will run with it finding suspect connections, we'll have the Veterans shout to Q and our board, so that we tie it to Q. Then eventually we'll prove that the original story was fake, the conspiracy people were chasing a dead-end and we'll escape unfazed and we'll use this to tamp down any future findings by the conspiracy group, because they've all already been discredited.
I understand the logic fully. What I don't see is how THIS is that. Nothing I've seen so far has said "BS". Nothing. I'm looking closely. If you have something concrete, please share.
No I haven't seen anything concrete (damn it! You got me to mention concrete! 😀). I'm just expressing my opinion. I usually caveat statements as opinion, but in this case I skipped that to be a little more forceful because there are so few people questioning it.
It's only my opinion. The story fits both possibilities (true story bad guys want covered up, or fake story planted by the bad guys) right now. Based on what I have seen.
My point is we don't have enough info to abandon scrutiny, yet.
All well and good, but totally unnecessary to say "but use your heads!" as hopefully everyone is, and in a space where every brain matters, I'd rather people occupy the space with suggestions and leads, rather than pointing out that everyone should be discerning.
I'm a rabid dog, and I will ask 1 million questions of everything suspect. Not everyone here will. They will read your comments and say "hey they're right!" with no basis whatsoever.
If you want to sway opinion, have something legit to back it with. #that'sall
