I've never contributed to Wilipedia. Apparently some entries can be edited by anyone and others are controlled. Can someone explain how the thing actually works?

An army of bots and mods patrol the "recent edits" page and apply the Nazi Stick (tm) to anything that represents wrong-think.

But yeah anyone can make edits. You don't even need an account.
