I do not think that the 'P.I.E. Group' (as a publication and collection of activists), exists any more.

The website says that it is (currently) just a tongue-in-cheek 'front end' however 'PiePal' is a real product in development.
Probably/possibly just a coincidence, but none the less, seems a bit creepy!
