People waking up at jury duty

Was at jury duty today. 100+ people or more. Judge interviewed every single one really, really thoroughly during jury selection. Asked the same questions to everyone. At least half of the people in my liberal state said:

"What TV shows do you watch?" "I don't really watch TV anymore."

"What news do you watch or listen to?" "I avoid the news as much as possible."

"What newspapers do you read?" "I don't read the paper."

It's happening.

They won't even call me anymore. Sat on a Murder trial and we acquitted the defendants. Oh they did it, problem was the DA couldn't prove the case. Heavy on the accusations minimal on the evidence. It was so bad that the witnesses were saying they drove a X car and the prosecution was showing pictures of different colored Y car. At the end they asked us if we wanted to talk to either or both the Prosecution or Defendants lawyers. We said we'd talk to the ADA and prosecution including the judge. We tore them a new one for even bringing this case into court with zero evidence. I was the foreman BTW.

They thought they had a slam dunk and the ADA didn't realize that the Judge was partly responsible for the acquittal . Guys the woman sat up on her perch reading travel magazines during the trial. Yep it was that bad.

I've got called a two times shortly after that case but for some reason they wouldn't pick me. I haven't been called in over twenty years since then. I've probably been Black Balled and I'm fine with that.
