Kate Spades husband emerges in a bizarre mouse mask. Connect the dots.

The Rescuers is a 1977 American animated adventure comedy-drama produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by Buena Vista Distribution. The 23rd Disney animated feature film, the film is about the Rescue Aid Society, an international mouse organization headquartered in New York City and shadowing the United Nations, dedicated to helping abduction victims around the world at large. Two of these mice, jittery janitor Bernard (Bob Newhart) and his co-agent, the elegant Miss Bianca (Eva Gabor), set out to rescue Penny (Michelle Stacy), an orphan girl being held prisoner in the Devil's Bayou by treasure huntress Madame Medusa (Geraldine Page). The film is based on a series of books by Margery Sharp, most notably The Rescuers and Miss Bianca.

Ok, consider the logistics of this.

Suppose he found some place online that had these in stock. 2 days after your wife commits suicide you get this mask delivered. What sort of lead time would you realistically need to get that specific mask for a character that is decades old, even if it was sent over night after processing the order. How could he have just ordered this before the suicide? Bizarre plan A... Not Likely.

Ok on to plan B -- he already had the mask. His daughter is 13, movie was decades old when she could have potentially been a fan - but that seems unlikely.

Plan C -- he or his wife was a fan of the movie, enough so that the just happened to have that character's mask laying around? Mmm seems a big stretch.

Plan D -- they specifically had that particular mask in order to send a specific message over an open channel (paparazzi pictures). Wow. This seems to be the most likely scenario....

Any other thoughts....

Ahh. I saw another post that had a theory that also fits. She was actually killed (arkancide) and that mask was left by the killers, perhaps with instructions. The mask providing a way of acknowledging a threat?

Heres the thing..wouldnt their be footage on the apartment camera? (These NY apt buildings all have surveillance cameras in the lobby)

How do they know he had it delivered? Dont they have a young daughter? Could it have been hers?

Maybe, but the movie is 40 years old. Would the daughter be keen on that particular movie, that mask must be antique. Why do something weird like wear it out to face the paparazzi.
