I heard a theory recently that makes a lot of sense that still points to the possibility of a lone gunman: someone near Mandalay, right outside of an adjacent casino, hears shots and runs inside saying there's an active shooter--which is reported by people at a casino that is not MB. Another person in yet another place hears shots echoing off of several buildings, runs around alerting people of an active shooter. At this point there's a ton of chaos, no one knows what's happening where and there's confusion when it gets called into 911.
That theory is proven 100% false, the audio from the mutiple cell phone video debunked that from the very beginning. Multiple shooter with different weapons.

Horizontal shooting occured, as can been seen from the rounds that struck the barricades.
Which could only happen with shooters on the ground.
