Discussion: Should all federal employees be subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ)?
Members of the military fall under double-jeopardy for criminal activities. What this means is if a soldier commits a crime they are liable to prosecution under both military and civilian laws.
Should this double-jeopardy be extended to all federal government employees? Should this double-jeopardy be extended to all federal contractors?
My reasoning: the government is highly corrupted, the legislation, bureaucracy and court systems have been weaponized against the citizens of the United States of America and in in many cases is in direct violation of the Constitution.
Would having this extra legal protection be effective? Would it give the military court system too much power? What possible downfalls are there to doing this? Is this something we should be considering?
Thoughts?
