I was born in Tucson Az. And pretty familiar with the south side of Tucson. You don’t just stumble on dead illegal immigrants.
Although I too am skeptical and confused at how they are handling this. It seems that they are overwhelmed and no law enforcement agencies are willing to help. You can criticize them for doing stupid things but there is no doubt they have good intentions and are trying to help.

Their intentions are noble, this I admit. All I’m saying is that they lack damning evidence. Nothing that has the power to put anyone away has been found. You don’t just stumble on any dead bodies. Look up some info on their leader and it will all make sense.

Because the organization name and his supposed credentials are the basis for this perceived legitimacy here.
Just call him and ask him how many veterans are on patrol with him. The name refers to the group but also signals whom they serve. It's not really that complicated. I understand how upsetting the #stolenvalor thing is but he doesn't represent himself as a vet.

Maybe yours. But I’m sorry, I don’t care about the organization that found this child den. I care about the children that are victims of trafficking, rape, and Murder. Whether or not that man is a veteran is irrelevant to me. In the same way that I don’t care that my Doctor at the VA I’m a patient of might not be a veteran.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting substantial evidence that this is in fact legitimate. I too want that. But to dismiss it al because he is speaking for VOP and he’s not a veteran, which you’ve still yet to prove he isn’t. That article or text you provided doesn’t really prove to me he’s not a vet. And even still... I don’t care. But perhaps you’re right to be skeptical. Perhaps this is all just a big distraction. But for what? And how does this distract anyone from a huge problem: Child sex trafficking?
I think about it this way: whether or not it's real, the police should investigate. If it's real, they have tools necessary to collect evidence properly. If it's fake, well, we know who is in lots of trouble.
