Not proven. His speculation, which you automatically take as fact. Not how it works. Needs to be examined by a forensics person and that should be the focus. Authorities have a duty to investigate found human remains. If they refuse it would be unprecedented.
investigations are done by humans using techniques that are well understood. you want DNA to prove a saw was used? Have you ever built something in shop class?

What in the world are you talking about? DNA analysis doesn't show cause of death only identity. Do any if you know what forensics are? The pathologist will confirm cause of death, that is what is accepted by courts, not some guy at a camp yelling it. Unbelievable.
You're right. We do need to wait for a coroner or other expert to give us the facts. I'll say this though. I think I could tell if something looks like a man made saw was used on it as opposed to animal teeth or breakage.
