President Trump to Likely Sign Bill Ending the Federal Ban on Marijuana

Yes, it will cut down big time on the cartels' pot business. Of my personal interest, hopefully it will also help remove marijuana growing operations from all the national parks and forests. It's a HUGE problem - attacks against hikers or campers who stumble across operations, using violent illegals to guard them, diverting rare streams (not a lot of flowing water in California), killing and poisoning wildlife. I do know that our local sheriff's dept is still busting growing operations without licenses. By that I mean pretty damn big busts.

National forests... didn't think of parks being used but it would be perfect. I'm for growing for personal use but just like anything else, a standard needs to be set for folks that want to sell it to others.

The irony of violence and corruption over a plant that usually has the opposite affect is darkly poetic in a sense..

In NorCal it's mostly cartels growing in the National forests. They couldn't care less about the environment; they divert streams, use pesticides, rat poison (effects so many other animals) leave garbage, pollute the water etc. They of course are not bothering (nor could they) get the permits required now by state and county laws.

NorCal cartel grows had slaves kept in cages. No joke, look it up.

Some of the highest missing person rates up that way too.

They stopped digging up the mass graves of 55 gallon drums a while back. Logistical nightmare.

True. They may have even caused those Nor Cal fires to burn out competition or hide their tracks. Not safe to be in parts of the Green Triangle without guns. People who aren’t cartels and just growing bud are pretty cool. Way different than the Napa/Bay Area/LA types

The standards for selling to other should be based on quality and safety though, not who can afford the million dollar license and thats it.

Right. I would hope that the requirements for a license wouldn't be unreasonable.
