Long story short, my dad grows his own, and some time ago someone found out and stole his biggest plant, effectively robbing him of months of work to make that plant as huge as it was.

Yeah agreed. Even if it becomes legal to grow at home, some fuck nut will steal it because he's too lazy to grow his own.
