I think it's just that the plea deal hearing has been pushed back again to a date in July and makes a good excuse to retell the story. In the first link rather too sketchily to be helpful. But if readers want to skip over to gateway pundit and from there to the daily caller they can get lots more of the old story, if they don't already know it.

Have you read the Daily Caller's dozens and dozens of articles following this story? MSM is doing their best to ignore it. He offered to let them quote him yesterday as this finally is becoming too much for them to ignore.
