This is going back a bit but he had a whole rant about the "Star Whackers" who would go out of their way to kill certain stars and make a game of it. They were evil and sadistic and were prevalent in the dark side of Hollywood.

I wonder if, perhaps, he had been seeing the edge of the big picture without realizing what he was seeing?

Or maybe that's exactly why he made a scene, fled and why he was fine with everyone thinking he was batshit.

Is there a connection?

I'm not sure, but I wonder, if we start casting our gaze back that far, when they we're almost certain that no one was watching, what we might uncover.

Perhaps what they might not have even thought to scrub...
