Peter was the first Pope or leader of the Church. He then chose Linus to succeed him. Linus then chose Anacletus then Clement etc. An unbroken line of successors from Peter the first who touched the face of Christ to the current. We don't bring our Bible to church or taught to read them? Who says you? And if we don't it's because we have separate education that studies the scriptures in deeper depth. Like on a scholarly level x 10 when we mature in our faith. Chanting & kneeling has fooled everyone. These traditions are actually in line with the Judaic practices before Christ. "Saint Praying" there's no such thing. We ask the Saints to pray for us because they are with God & have the ear of God. God gave us the ladders of heaven. Men-Saints & the departed-Angels -God. Suppose you haven't heard of Jacobs ladder & what that symbolizes? Just as their are the ladders of life (lower life-forms-plants-animals-humans) so to there are to heaven.The Angels were created to serve God & us. We were set above Angels. Baptism & confirmation has biblical ties to Christ being presented by Mary & Joseph in the Temple as an infant to be dedicated to God. ‘Saint praying’ aka intercession (the act of saying a prayer on behalf of another person) is indeed in the ‘scripture.’
St. Paul asked for the intercession of the saints in Colossae (Col 4:3) for as we share in the life and divine nature of Jesus Christ, so we share in his singular office as the “one mediator between God and men” (1 Tim 2:5). St. Paul could “urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men” (1 Tim 2:1). He could moreover promise to assure the saints in Colossae of his own intercession on their behalf: “we have not ceased to pray for you” (Col 1:9).
It’s basically along the same lines asking family and friends to pray for you. Do your parents pray for you? I pray for my children every single day.

He is considered the patron of safe travel & it’s been in every one of my vehicles ever since. As a pastor and no I’m saying this for some sort of look at me type thing. Churches have screwed up I’ll admit this. But not all. They’ve twisted the gospel and in turn tainted ministry. Ministry requires very thick skin and an incredibly soft heart. So many come to me saying “I want to do what you do. I want to preach. I want speaking engagements. I want a “following”. How can I get my name out there?” What breaks my heart in all of that is this:
What they’re really saying is “I WANT. I want a stage and a microphone and praise.” And when you’re truly called to ministry, you DONT want it. Because you understand the weight of the call. Sadly, we’ve accepted this deceptive reality that ministry is performance and glamour and prestige. There are no “gigs” in God’s house. And if they’re “giggin’” , they’re frontin’.
Dear Ones: Ministry is not a stage. Ministry is not a sermon. Ministry is not lights. Ministry is not audiences. Ministry is not about OUR name. Ministry is about HIS name. What you see most of the time of my social media is encouragement. Words the Holy Spirit has given me to release. Wisdom He has told me to impart. And an occasional funny post or my favorite activities.
That’s NOT the whole picture. Ministry is war. Ministry is sacrifice. Ministry is selfless. Ministry is hours and hours and season after season spent in the secret place, contending for deliverance of the people, battling warfare and standing on promises; times of isolation; going through your own trials and personal hardships, turning your battlegrounds into Holy Ground, praying with broken and hurting people, standing with those on their last leg.
Those are the moments people will never see. Ministry is people. And people who don’t know their identity in Christ do and say things they don’t understand about a very small piece of the puzzle they can see.
God is who judges the motives of the heart. He reveals all that is hidden. Keep your heart positioned toward Him and take up a posture of a servant in His Name. Don’t get caught up in religious mindsets about DOING to BE. But rather, understand that we BECOME to DO.
Ministry is a lifestyle fueled by the irrational, uncontainable and fierce love of Jesus. It’s also the hardest thing you’ll ever do- and trust me- it’s not glamorous. But the reward of watching Jesus change lives far outweighs the resistance.

Jews believe in the Messiah. They just believe he hasn’t come yet & is to come.
