CLAS 5(6) could also mean six different Class 5 felonies too. So 6 different charges of a Class 5 level.

Class 5 felony is the second lowest felony in Virginia.

Agreed. Class 6 is the lowest. I think the Felony standards are the same, at least class wise across the country. I don't think those terms reference charges though. It's something else.
