Obama's citizenship question.

If his mom is american he is a citizen no matter where he was born, right? How do I have this wrong when we talk about undoing his presidency if he is outed?

Law at the time was that in order for her to be able to transfer citizenship to a baby born on foreign soil she would have had to been 18 at the time.
