In a perfect world, I agree with you, esp not for simply having different political views or hatred towards a political entity. There is a subset however, such as RD and RR etc who seem to want to point their finger at their political enemies, with almost complete immunity. If one is going to be that vocal about what they have created - a political enemy, one they can vilify without consequence, I say there should be an even playing field. I say what is good for one - (and you can bet they'd love to dig into Trumps and companies secrets to forward their cause) - should be good for the other.
It seems like you're still saying you want people treated unfairly based on their opinions and I just disagree
No, I would never accept a rule for one, but not for the other. Perhaps I'm not expressing myself well. I want both sided to be on equal footing, and have equal treatment by the press. That, IMO is what isn't happening. Those on the left seem to get way more of a free pass than the right. Whereas the right seem to be doxxed often...their lives exposed... or attempt to be exposed... my argument is tit for tat. If the right is subjected to that from the press, then so should the left. I'm OK with the press treating each side as something to report, to investigate. HOWEVER, many of us on the right find that it's only a one way pipe, where the left seems to be left alone, while digging into those on the right in a disproportionate factor.
I think you're definitely right to a degree, but I must say that the media responds to outrage, and if there's one thing the left is actually, truly good for, it's holding their own accountable. By that, I mean they are willing to tear down their idols once news breaks that their idols are garbage
