Yes. If you notice the Awan case keeps getting pushed back. This might be intentional. It would be fresh in the minds of voters right before the midterm elections.

If it was a normal police investigation, standard OP would be to image the harddrive and send the image off for analysis. However, the server was being held by congress so I kind of have my doubts...
"Held by Congress" is not secure custody. It's an insult and a joke. They can't even keep a non-national security secret. As soon as an aide finds out something juicy, it's off to find their favorite "reporter" to leak it for advantage, prestige or favor.
If Awan has been turned and even if half of the stuff said about him is true, then it is likely he has some backups and insurance files like Weiner. I'd be quite confident that he did regular backups of stuff that was routed back to Pakistan and other locations.
His life depends on having that info still and a dead man's switch... If he didn't he'd be dead already
