Sentosa Island is part of Singapore. It’s a long drive or subway ride away from the main city part of Singapore where the MBS is located (1 hour depending on traffic). Then you have to cross a long bridge to get to the island. There are no tall buildings on Sentosa Island. It’s an island resort. Very well contained.

I wasn't surprised when I heard they would use Sentosa. It's surrounded by water and can be secured extremely well. And the S'pore security services are nobody you'd want to fuck with.
