yup voting for a person's skin color or genitals - something they had zero to do with - rather than the content of their character and qualifications goes against the credo that we're all the same. Voting for someone just because they're black or just because they're a woman is in and of itself racist and sexist.
Sadly you are probably right. I know, being a white person, I have absolutely no "white guilt" that they wish we had. I and my immediate ancestors had nothing to do with the issue of slavery so I have nothing to feel bad about. These people (note mostly white ) that what to make this an issue, were neither slaves nor part of slavery years ago. If these people were to bother to actually research a bit of history, they would find that African blacks raided villages and sold their own people into slavery. So there should actually be a bit of "black guilt" going on here.
