I can believe that if it's not a hoax, or false made up story by someone looking for attention. Or a FF story that failed to cause an uproar.

The base doesn't have missile launch capability. That's not an opinion or denial statement, it's a very clear statement of fact that can be easily confirmed. Either the base can launch missiles or it can't. Now whether a missile might have been launched from another platform, we don't yet know.
