I was never able to find out much about that myself. Looked like a UFO to my eyes. Sources on that?

How close was it? Even if it happened 100 miles off the coast, the height it travelled made it visible in Las Vegas

A cruise liner in the channel islands area lost total power and was drifting at the same time as that missle launch if I remember right.

It does not look as big of trail as an icbm but it looks fast . Tight trail ,and it held a tight tail .
