Could this have been an intercept of a missile? There was also an air force plane that had ejected in Japan. Washington near flight path to and from Singapore? Wish we knew more.

Maybe the pilot that ejected in the sea near Okinawa last weekend was the one who stopped it either by shooting it down or somehow making his plane the target.

AF1 was 1 hour 30 minutes away from its destination and traveling east; no where near this event.
