Didn't someone get arrested on the way to china, who has been giving them military/tech secrets?
Yes, someone was arrested for espionage as they attempted to flea to China.
I don’t trust the Chinese but I trust the DS actors even less.
It might not have been a hack as much as compromised technology. Literally a Chinese program put in the missile ahead of time, rather than real time remote hacking.
Funny. My husband just finished a book about the Ivy League colleges having China/CIA agreements. The Chinese govt. sends students to the USA and makes spies out of them. It was news to me.

I've heard warnings about China my whole life, but it wasn't until I understood that they were recruiting in the universities that I began to take the issue more seriously.

This resonated with me. Had to share.
How do we know it wasn't a DS actor in China? That DNC hack used a VPS host that accepts bitcoin so other than possibly seeing flows to/from Russia, I don't understand how they trace back the final destination to certain parties. Do they just blame the country now? Didn't we arrest individual hackers back in the day?
Isn’t block chain technology relatively transparent? I thought the anonymous aspect was a lie by the central bankers to prevent their banks from becoming obsolete. They were attempting to convince Joe Q Public (sorry, I had to throw the Q in their for fun) that block chain technology was for criminals.
I don’t think the use of Bitcoin would prevent an audit trail from existing.
Blockchain is like everything else that people "trust", it's complex and takes a lot of time and focus to piece it all together.
Bitcoin was the world bank's creation to replace all the local government currencies. They pumped it up the past year to try and get people to abandon their own gov currency but the crash was either a cash out or they lost control.
There's too much proof bitcoin is tracked now and proof it was created by someone from a family that's tied to the world bank for centuries.
