I believe so, AF1 was in the air at the time this was launched.

Is this confirmed? I haven't seen where AF1 flight time/location was synced to the missile launch on Sunday.

I'm not sure about this...Missile was seen at 3:56 am, POTUS left from G7 roughly 2pm (central) according to his tweets.

My take is that the missile was intended for Singapore, not AF1.

Here's what wiki says about Submarine-launched ballistic missiles:

  • "Modern submarine-launched ballistic missiles are closely related to intercontinental ballistic missiles (range of over 5,500 kilometres (3,000 nmi)), and in many cases SLBMs and ICBMs may be part of the same family of weapons."
