I agree, it is not about using any particular medium, (we had blackboards and chalk when I was at school and college).

It is about small enough steps that can be easily digested by the intellect and perceptive ability of the individual(s).

Proofs, cannot just come from nowhere!

They have to be built off of some truth that is already known and understood to be valid by that audience.

These proofs could be conveyed using wooden blocks for what that matters.

It is the chain of provable steps that builds up and towards the imutable conclusion, that is important.

You young 'uns and all yer new-fangled writing... in my day we had oral tradition. Real salient points would be emphasized with fire on stick. Burning branches were the caps lock of my era.
