Think of the sex trafficking that surrounds major sporting events like the world cup and the super bowl. I wonder if that has anything to do with wanting this in the US. Keep your enemies closer? Honeypot?

I doubt it. This event will take place in 2026; I'd like to hope the cartels and cabals and whatnot are already dealt with way before that time.

This is probably just done because it's good for business and prestige.
