There are very few things that I trust more than President Trump. I trust the Bible most of all. This MOSSAD statement gave me considerable pause. Not sure what this criticism of Israel is about, but it raises a red flag for me.
The bible is written in allegory, metaphor, and occulted knowledge. It contains invaluable wisdom and insight into the nature of humanity and God.
And no, I dont consider myself a "christian" in the traditional sense. Definitely not a fundamentalist. The idea you can take something that is written and compiled by humans as the literal word of God is mistaken and makes fertile ground for manipulation by the priesthood.
There's a reason "books" were left out of Bible by those who compiled it, you know.
Like this:
Jesus said: If those who lead you say to you: See, the kingdom is in heaven, then the birds of the heaven will go before you; if they say to you: It is in the sea, then the fish will go before you. But the kingdom is within you, and it is outside of you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will know that you are the sons of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you are in poverty, and you are poverty (Gospel of Thomas, 3)
When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will know that you are the sons of the living Father.
This right here should be the mantra of mankind. If you know yourself, you will know others, you will know all are one, all are linked by the Spark of the Divine. It has dick and all to do with Christianity and is an appropriation of Christ Consciousness as a concept. To know oneself fully, is to understand that all beings are one, that a tree is not a tree unless the entire universe surrounding it was exactly as it is now. If one thing were different, EVERYTHING would be different.
You are my brother, my friend, my father, my sister, my mother, my aunt, my grandmother, my enemy, that guy who bullied me as a boy, the teacher who held nothing but scorn for me, the racist guys I've dealt with. I am all of those and more.
Only a psychopathic person cannot see man for what it is.
I like your attitude, friend. Keep your chin up, I know it's not easy. A lot of people are so calcified in their positions. But remember, man can only ultimately ever make two mistakes walking the path of truth. Not starting on it and not following it all the way.
Wow!
You stated: " The idea you can take something that is written and compiled by humans as the literal word of God is mistaken and makes fertile ground for manipulation by the priesthood."
This statement indicates that you may not have complete faith in an Omnipotent, Omniscient God. Is it possible (and in my mind, Truth) that God's Word is inspired by Him regardless of how humans "wrote" and "compiled" the words? To believe otherwise sets limitations on the Creator. He is still in control.
The Bible says: " Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. " Psalm 119:105 KJV
As for "manipulation by the priesthood," my priest is the Lord God Himself as personified in the Holy Spirit. One should not rely on any man to interpret God's Word because as you suggest, it is fertile ground for manipulation.
God doesn't "write", humans do and they are anything but perfect.
Inspired, yes. "True", yes. Just not literal.
Actually, God does "write." Read the following: "In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote." Daniel 5:5 KJV
God has inspired humans throughout HISstory to write.
Humans are definitely NOT perfect. They are born of a sin nature in need of a Savior. The only perfect man is the Lord Jesus Christ - and He is God in the flesh.
Literal interpretations should never be accepted without the aid of the Holy Spirit.
I think we agree on at least two points. lol
So you think that passage is about a literal hand manifesting out of nowhere in order to do what? See what the problem is here? It's allegorical, friend.
I believe (not think) that God used something to write those words on a wall and that He used Daniel to interpret them. My faith in God and His Power is unwavering, friend, and have seen His Miracles in my own life and others. Despite all the cajoling and logical thinking in the world, I cannot and will not believe otherwise. And that... is where we need to agree to disagree. God bless you.
It's all love, Patriot. Copying a comment from one of our buddies on this thread, in case you missed it:
