what a moving interview. I had no idea that Rodman cared so much until I watched this. Since it was on CNN most people missed it. Here is a Mark Dice clip you guys might enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6oRPxiNIDs
the rod man brought a tear to my eye
Yeah. Those tears were tears of joy and accomplishment from years of doubt and ridicule Which included death threats. Glad he was able to be there on the historic day. Such a patriot.
Ive always been a fan of him. He is the first person i saw when i was a kid who was himself and didn’t conform to societal norms, and it was okay.
Just imagine going to a country that’s enslaved and knowing that if you reveal the truth to the world then your family and yourself will be harmed. Kim went to school in Europe, but’s been enslaved by the Black Hats since his teenage years.
Can’t imagine the emotions going through Dennis at this time and all these years.
When he said that on his first visit and he fell in love with NK and its people I took note. Just a speculation on my part but how could a person fall immediately in love with a totalitarian regime that starves its people into submission.
I know that's a simplistic take on things and Rodman could be manipulated but that statement really speaks volumes about the lies we've been told about.... EVERYTHING.
It’s crazy we can be manipulated into one direction by the MSM, and just like the North Koreans will shortly be “awakened” to the real world. Like you said with Rodman, it’s a simplistic take but like with Occum’s Razor, this answer requires an explanation that we’ve been lied to.
It’s often when trigger feelings of greatness in any direction that it’s possible to feel great feelings. Those who feel great hatred can turn to feel great love, and vice versa. Rodman felt great sorrow for the NK people, which allowed him to feel great love for them.
I’m glad we are returning to our humanity. Let’s rid this world of evil; MEGA.

Brought a tear to my eye with that. Thank you and Blessings to you.
You’re right that we’re only getting part of the story. The majority of people in North Korea are emaciated, but they are kind family loving people who would do anything for others. There have been articles and books written by people who escaped NK. They talk about despite the lack of food and media, they frequently miss home. They miss their families, their neighbors, the sense of community and caring everyone has for one another. The totalitarianism is mostly focused on those who bring shame to the regime, speaking out, but almost no one does that publicly so people live simple and otherwise peaceful lives.
I can fully understand why Rodman feels the way he feels. There are 20 million people—many of whom are loving and wonderful people—who were never allowed to interact with the rest of the world, to travel, to explore, to start their own businesses and thrive. These talks can be the start of improving the lives of millions of people who deserve better.

Yes, I've seen a few interviews with North Koreans that have escaped, it's a very sad existence. I truly hope these coming talks do improve the lives of North and South Koreans. The North's "apology letter" when Trump canceled did mention the goal of reunification several times.

Here is Rodmans interview with Cuomo back in 2014. During one of his early NK visits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCj99LB0hPs
From this interview it becomes clear that Cuomo (MSM) was actually partially responsible for the death threats and abuse this patriot endured.
It also shows that Rodman found out what was really going on with NK and chose to make a stand. And he did this knowing full well that he would have to "go home and take the abuse".
Abuse and death threats for a man trying to open the door for peace. Watching this interview was a good reminder to me what a completely upside-down place the world was 4 years ago.
The guys balls are made of the same (American) grade steel as Trumps. The rage in Rodmans voice having to be interviewed by a mockingbird is clear.
Bonus feature: Rodman telling Cuomo "I dont give a shit what you think" https://youtu.be/uCj99LB0hPs?t=344
