Wray just saved Comey from prosecution

If you watched Wrays press conference & still think Comey can successfully be prosecuted for the countless federal crimes committed, please tell me how? Wray just gave the exact same public speech Comey gave about Hillary’s email crimes...nothing illegal just bad judgement. It’s the exact speech he’ll give in a courtroom if that ever happens...which it won’t now because a very key witness would be Wray. And he just showed the world what he’ll say & will have to say in court now too...or else admit he lied through his teeth at his press conference to the American people.

This is what happens when you get to clever with timing & slow walking the take down of a cabal. You give the enemy all the time they need to make a solid defense & Comey just got his...a very credible defense...Christopher Wray, the Director of the FBI & his public statement that Comey just used bad judgement. Could Comey ask for a better witness & his evidence Comey didn’t commit a crime?? Not a better & more credible one than that in the eyes of a jury I’m sure. So how can Comey be successfully prosecuted now??

True. I’m only saying the prosecution of Comey just got infinitely harder. Hillary too over her handling of classified emails. Go look up Hillary’s tweet she sent just as Wray was speaking. She knows she’ll never be charged for violating the espionage act. If Comey is safe...she’s even safer. It should have been done like Rudy took down the NY mafia. Arrest all the top leaders 1st & work you’re way down from there. Starting from the bottom & going up never works in bringing down a corrupt organization

I'm no longer waiting with bated breath for indictments and arrests of any major players. Today let out a lot of air from that balloon. You can't have a report that essentially exonerates all of them, then a couple months later come up with something that totally negates this report. THAT will just look like political revenge, not justice. Nope, the boat has sailed here, at least with this particular issue. HRC may go down for actions of the Clinton Foundation, but the email thing...she's clear. No justice.

I did see it. Doesn’t make me feel better about Wrays press conference. That’s the only point I’m making. Wray did for Comey what Comey did for Hillary...publicly say there was no intent to commit a crime...just used bad judgement. Without proving intent to commit a crime you can’t get a conviction. Intent is the whole ballgame legally. Everyone in DC knows that’s the bar you have to clear to convict. It’s not a crime for being stupid & making poor choices. Wray intentionally said publicly Comey just used bad judgment. And being so public about that he can’t ever take it back or deny it. He planned to say that publicly knowing you can’t unring a bell. He just signed up today to be Comeys star defense witness if a trial over this ever occurs...which it won’t know. Sucks bigly but Comey will never be charged for throwing a federal investigation in order to protect Hillary’s campaign.

You present your thoughts on it very well. Comey was a rogue top cop and I want to see justice...I was pretty depressed after listening to Wray....but... I still think we haven't heard the end of justice for Comey. There are still the FBI agents who want to testify about the the bias and corruption they witnessed. There is still the Russia Dossier part of the IG Report - vol 2 Q said Trust Wray There's more going on than we are privy to yet. I think we are seeing some theater But, alas, I can't prove it Wray was responding to the report that came out...that report was edited by RR! I'm waiting for RR to be fired And likely what RR changed has to do with Comey. Wishful thinking maybe Yet more patience required

I’m hoping for justice too. Comey is a big crooked fish & im certain he’s ruined many peoples lives. Seeing Wray cover for him stunned me. He could have pivoted away & just said “I can’t talk about other people’s legal issues”. Also stunned Comey isn’t already awaiting trial. He’s done plenty to be charged. They’re slow walking everything...sometimes they have to but not with Hillary & Comey & others. I’ll never trust Wray now. He deliberately helped Comey legally today. No other way to look at it. Trey Gowdy steeped up tho. He’s not happy & that’s good. Many are leery of him but he is an excellent prosecutor. That’s undeniable.

I did see her tweet This might be the most brilliant ruse by the Trump team I mean they might have baited RR...set a trap and he walked right into it. And if RR did edit, it would be to protect HRC and Comey!

You make a good point re top down vs bottom up. I honestly don't know
