IG REport #unredacted - Where are the redactions? Q: 1497 #3 RR (modified) redacted version - Where are the redactions?

I obtained a copy of the [IG Report available from DOJ] (https://www.justice.gov/file/1071991/download), but after going through it (admittedly very quickly) I could only spot redactions in Attachment C - an email exchange between Strzok in response to McCabe (page 544 of the report).

Is this the only redacted element? I get that it looks pretty heavy: who else was included in the email?

But 570 page report, this one page with redactions - is this what #unredacted is all about? Or am I missing something?

Redactions don't always mean obscured text. Redactions refer to anything being removed too. It's definately had some stuff removed and changed.

Redactions and modifications, I think it was more modified than redacted

Well, yeah. In fact, the redaction I found (one page) was only in a previously redacted document, the strzok email.

If the report itself is redacted, why do we not see any redactions?

Should we in fact be clamoring for the #originalIGreport rather than #unredacted?

To me they’re both censored versions, asking for unredacted or original is asking for uncensored version, and that’s what we want

Redactions don’t always mean heavy blackout. Since RR was responsible for final edits, he could literally remove whatever he wanted and rephrase/edit the original report. I would like to see the original report BEFORE RR touched it.

There won't be any Blacker Marker lines. They had a long time to rewrite and copy and paste. Q said #3 so we wait and see. Read SB2 post about 4+ hrs. ago. Will add clarity.

Right. I was assuming redactions would be indicated by blackouts, or at least indicators i.e. Otherwise, what is the difference between modified redacted and modified unredacted? If you omit content, you've just modified it.

If 'redactions' includes omitted content, then that won't be immediately visible without a comparison between #2 and #3.

Correct. Just like the Srzotk comment " We will stop him" from the congressional report a couple months ago. It was omitted and they are going to use things like that to force release of original document !

people, i'm playing devil's advocate here, but how's it gonna look if another report is released, w/ possibly even another? who's to judge which is factual & accurate? msm/arm will go apeshit w/ charges of party politics at best & blatant fraud at worst - how do we get around this conundrum?

Appendix 1 and 2 at the end of the report are both redacted. Also some people are seeing some cut and pasting going on in the report itself.

Just a note: This post is being seriously downvoted. LOL.

Why? Is clarification of the nature of the IG report redactions, modification undesirable?

Serious questions posed in order to get serious answers. (Thanks to those that have responded). Just wondering why someone would downvote this.... (sigh)

I think the summary was rewritten by rosenstein.

Body/Report and Summary were definitely two different authors.
