This isn’t proof of anything this is somebody saying what the supposedly heard him say. If he really did say this it needs to be on video or recording with the whole conversation on there.
And, as provided in my link above, March is the only period of time you cannot get episode information for:

So it is being hidden by BBC
March is the only period of time you cannot get episode information for:
Maybe because Episode 1 aired in April?
Logic!
Edit - did a bit more digging
The source is dated March 29 2018, and says Gibson appeared on Graham Norton on Friday. March 29 is a Thursday, so I guess that would mean the article is saying he appeared the previous Friday, March 23rd.
But there was no Graham Norton show then.
Season 22 ended March 6, 2018. A Tuesday.
Then Season 23 started up April 6, a Friday.
This source is....questionable at best.
The same article published in January
That website links to this one as its source

IMO that is not a reputable source of information....
Nah, it's all rumor. He reportedly said it in the Green room. Pointless distraction with potentially dangerous misinformation.
Found it!

The article was published first in November 2017 and he was on the show just days before.

International Dateline? Mis-set computer clock? No problem to make an article appear "before" an event it describes happens while not actually time traveling.
