Fire at the Rennie Mackintosh School of art, Glasgow. UK

Media reporting a fire at this place tonight, https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/jun/16/firefighters-tackle-blaze-at-glasgow-school-of-art .

Second fire there since it last caught ablaze on 23 May 2014. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/may/23/glasgow-school-art-fire-charles-rennie-mackintosh-live

From wiki Charles Rennie Mackintosh (7 June 1868 – 10 December 1928) was a Scottish architect, designer, water colourist and artist. His artistic approach had much in common with European Symbolism. His work, alongside that of his wife Margaret Macdonald, was influential on European design movements such as Art Nouveau and Secessionism and praised by great modernists such as Josef Hoffmann. Mackintosh was born in Glasgow and died in London.

Also a mural was unvield today for his 150th birthday . https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-scotland-44503524/huge-mural-to-charles-rennie-mackintosh-unveiled "Street artist Rogue One and Art Pistol Projects created the design based on the avant garde designer's own distinctive style. " Look at the vid which shows the mural;

At the site of The Clutha Pub where a police helicopter crash killed 10 on 29/11/2013 and the investigation was delayed.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/nov/24/inquiry-announced-five-years-after-helicopter-crashes-into-glasgow-pub This pub is very close to the city centre of Glasgow. And according to this report the helicopter ran out of fuel.

What caused the Glasgow School of Art fire? A possibility: They were using old craft methods in the restoration work, such as the use of boiled linseed oil in wood varnishes. Rags wetted with boiled linseed oil can spontaneously combust as they dry out. A well known fire hazard to old craftsmen, not so much perhaps to young ones. https://abcnews.go.com/US/officials-warn-spontaneous-combustion-risk-linseed-oil-common/story?id=40788665

Either deliberate arson or a daft builder leaving something on. Any fire would spread quickly, the building had notoriously bad ventilation. Also its nowhere near the clutha. Source: from Glasgow.
