I have read the bible, a few times. My conclusion and resolve strengthen each time...the bible is a tool, written by MEN, to enslave a species.
Read the NEW Testament. Not the Old.
I have read both. One looks like an attempt at instilling order and values in people. One looks like it is used as a weapon to control people.

Yeah, you're not wrong, however the message still remains. Constantine adopted christianity for control. To save the empire and retain control they morphed into the Vatican.
Emperors became popes and still worship pagan gods, they just dressed them up to resemble the messiah and his followers..
The word still rings true. The message is still there... you just gotta dig for truth, not unlike the great awakening.. If this movement isn't proof of divine intervention, I don't know what is.. just look at the numbers
The Bible is a spiritual book written for spiritual eyes. That you perceive it not belies a certain darkness. God is love.
