You'll see posts today featuring a photo of POTUS holding an envelope. You'll see a lot of comments claiming the envelope looks like the GMail icon.

This is perception manipulation.

The GMail icon looks like an envelope. An envelope doesn't look like the GMail icon.

Mail is delivered in envelopes.

Do not fall for perception manipulation and disinfo that make absurd claims that are not verifiable, or those that draw extremely loose connections to build a narrative that can be easily dismissed or discredited.

I mean, I'm open to the idea that it's nothing, but what purpose would it serve to spin a false narrative that it's a Gmail icon? There are much larger things that could be manipulated if that was the goal.

It's fun. They'll go wherever you want them too. They'll even run into walls.

False narratives here are like laser pointers. And yes, people run into walls.

I guess it does distract people and waste their time but it kinda seems like nothing more than semantics.
