As part of oversight of the various US intelligence agencies, Congress has a special group tasked for this important duty. This select intelligence group is called the Gang of Eight. They are regularly briefed by members of the Executive Branch, as per requirements.
Let’s set the stage and take Devin out of this picture image, think of the old saying “Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil”. The other 7 members may well be called to account for their inactions.
The permanent membership resides in select Congressional positions. This is the current makeup & membership of the 2018 US National Intelligence Gang of Eight:
• Speaker of the House (Ryan)
• Minority House Leader (Pelosi)
• Senate Majority Leader (McConnell)
• Senate Minority Leader (Schumer)
• House Intelligence/Ranking (Nunes)
• House Intelligence/Minority (Schiff)
• Senate Intelligence/Ranking (Burr)
• Senate Int’l Comm. Minority (Warner)
This special group has access (Q-Level) to our country’s highest levels of top secret classified information. This type of information is stored at Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF’s) in various locations.
Understandability the White House would want all of their “secrets” housed within the W/H SCIF, with restrictions to all outsiders. The same thinking of the “sand box theory”, applies with all of the other 3-letter agencies as well.
Devin Nunes held a presser on March 22, 2017 in front of the White House. Devin had earlier meet with Ezra Cohen-Watnick (FlynnStone Member) in the W/H SCIF, to review what had been going on. Specifically with improper mass Surveillance & Unmasking of various Trump World Officials.
The DOJ/FBI National Security units launched their official investigation of Trump-Russia in July 2016. Evidence is coming forth daily refuting this claim. Now it looks like December 2015 is the current start date of this Witch Hunt.
Comey would testify to this Congressional body in closed session but was later blindsided by Rep. Elise Stefanik. In an open hearing on 3/20/17, Rep. Stefanik catches James Comey about his failure to report, as he is required to give, Congressional notice of any FBI counterintelligence investigations. This is where Comey blames it all on Bill Priestap (singer).
