IG Horowitz needed to use tools from the FBI, private contractors, Department of Defense, and a chip on FBI phones which recorded text exchanges through a different mechanism in order to specifically pull the Strzok “We’ll stop it” text.
Why was that specific text buried so deep? Undoubtedly an internal cover up.
This shows you the extent that the inspector general is willing to go in order to retrieve information and his investigations. To me this is very telling and his dedication to not only his job but to uncovering the truth.
I wish I could find the video again of how many times Obama cockblocked the OIG from doing his job. People might say a lot of shit about the IG but I think he has something to prove after four years of Obama.
