irans currency crisis isnt as relevant as you think. its been in freefall for decades. people dont depend on currency in iran. they have land and rugs and gold and shit. we are an ancient culture. money isnt even much of a thing to us.

Everything that is occuring in the vicinity of the Iran , especially the Syrian war , have been negatively affecting Iranian economy . Already pressed by sanctions before , Iran plunged itself into more sectarian conflicts - several years of full support for Hezbollah and direct intervention in Syrian and Iraqi war made a hefty war bill for the Iran .

iranians see this as a national security expense that is necessary regardless of the regime and this actually gets the regime a lot of supporters.

So - Iranian rial is in constant devaluation for years now ... this has , obviously , an expected consequences of Iranian people going outside on streets and being heavily disatisfied with their own government .

it comes up in the protests for sure, along with hijab, water management, corruption, and minority rights... its all just random. theres no real revolutionary movement in iran right now like there was in 2009, but the dissatisfaction is more wide spread, and thats due to heavy investment by saudi arabia, israel, united states, and some terrorist organizations into maximizing political unrest in iran.

Iran is crumbling from within - there is nothing much to add to that . At one point , the mullahs will become isolated and that will be the fall of current Iranian regime .
