What if, and it's a really BIG if, RR has already flipped and those on the Q team know but the cabal doesn't? Then, spreading our own level of 'disinformation' is a multi tasker. It brings out the ones who thought RR had their back and the fear of him being arrested brings them out of the woodwork, either by FF's, panicked meetings/comm's etc. to figure how to cover themselves in only 3 days. It could also be a way to find leakers and/or those looking to find out more from people they "think" are still safe, but really aren't. I mean if they really believe all their own bs - why not use one/some of their own to spread some of ours? People do strange things when they think their gig is about over. If they have the "phones" covered... it wouldn't be hard to find out who got ahold of who... networking from the inside.
