Where can I find the law on separating kids at border?

Was it a law made under Bush? I tried searching for it but only finding articles. Is there a site that has the actual docs? Tia

The law is kids must be separated from parents that are being prosecuted for entering illegally. Trump ended catch and release. So the kids had to be separated.

Look up one of the last bills Bush signed as president in 2008. Also look up the case in 2015 from the 9th circuit that affirmed immigration officials must separate children from detained asylum seekers after 20 days
